It was a very warm morning. The sun was heating up the tent so that we had an early start.
The first 40km were pretty flat but I felt yesterday’s climb in the legs.
There were reindeer standing in tunnel. Probably it was too warm for them in the sun. First time I saw them in the wild!
Then we had a break in a small village. Funny thing, there were two Thai ladies selling really nice spring rolls. Who would expect that in Finnmarka?
Then we went on to Alta. The weather was getting cloudy and much colder on the way.
There were two tunnels, which were closed for bikes (1 and 2km). But the alternative routes were big detours. So we went through them without any problems.
Then we reached the town and bought supplies for two days. Seems there is not much else on the road afterwards.
There is a funny building in Alta. No idea what that was:
We went through the forest for a while and found the local ski jump and a nice view:
Afterwards, we just left the town and looked for a camp spot. We found one quickly at a car park next to E6. Great that there were tables with roofs. It was raining slightly from time to time.
It was 80km today again. Hilly, but much easier than yesterday (750 meters climbing). Now we were just 220km awayfrom the Cape. No problem to be there within Friday.
