One of the fun things on such a trip, is to meet other tour cyclists. I think I met almost nobody until Trondheim, but they became more frequent, the further we went north. Up here at the Cape, we met the most. Many cyclists even stay here for a day or two. And so did we. After the main goal reached we were too lazy to go back to a camp site. We were camping in a little colony under the roof of the cafe:
It was very interesting to hear different stories and experiences from the others, compare gear and traveling style.
Not so nice was that somebody decided that we had to move at 12 o’clock in the night. They could have come up with that earlier. So we moved down to the bus parking place, rebuild our tents and tried to sleep in the storm.
It was raining again in the morning. Not the nicest wake up.
After packing up, I went back inside and had breakfast. One of the big advantages up here was the free and very fast wireless Internet. Probably the best connection of the whole trip. That was why I could add all the missing pictures to the blog finally.
Then at 13 o’clock my parents arrived here. They took the hurtigruten to Honningsvåg and brought their car. So we will drive through Sweden and Finnland together now. Great that it worked so well with our schedules. And even better to have great parents like that!
We will drive to Turku within a couple of days. There, i will take the ferry to Stockholm and the train back to Ås.
